ABOUT
Valentin Mellstrom is a seasoned designer and entrepreneur with a multifaceted background in creative and business ventures. His career began in Sweden, where he honed his skills in design at various agencies, developing a keen eye for aesthetics and a deep understanding of client needs.
Valentin's schooling, freelance and agency experience in Sweden laid the foundation for his transition into brand identity and experience design, where he focused on crafting cohesive visual identities that resonate with target audiences. He collaborated with notable clients, including the United Nations and the Swedish Police Force, showcasing his ability to span his width and capabilities.
While in Sweden he was also co-founded Wallconcept, the world's first wall decal & wrap stencil company, which attracted international attention from publications like Elle Decor UK, FRAME and brands like Urban Outfitters.
He relocated full-time to the United States in 2011, and continued to build his reputation in brand design and creative direction, working with esteemed clients like the Frost Science Museum, while also creating music videos for record labels like Nuclear Blast and Century Media.
He also founded and branded a product company called Unsocial Co, now Unsocial Club, expanding a single flagship pomade into a comprehensive line of hair and beard grooming products sold across the US.
Valentin's expertise also extends into international event production, notably for the elite youth football tournament, the Bracara Cup, in Braga, Portugal.
With a keen eye for detail and a knack for understanding and turning concepts into reality, Valentin seamlessly transitioned into the role of an estimator, mastering the art of assessing project scope and resource requirements. With an interest in design by number he has gained experience in theme park and hospitality construction allowing him to help fill up artistic visions with logistical and financial data on projects for Disney World, Universal Studios, and Paramount Studios.
